Mad Dog

Getting to the locations

Mad Dog >

The Survivors episode Mad Dog was filmed entirely on location, by BBC OB (Outside Broadcast) units in the winter and early spring of 1977.

Between 1997 and 2005, and with the help of director Tristan de vere Cole, fans were able to confirm that all of the Mad Dog shooting locations can be found in the Monsal Dale and Ilam areas of Derbyshire, and on the Severn Valley railway, in Worcestershire and Shropshire.
