  By the time Heather Canning put in her memorable guest appearance in Mad Dog in 1977, she had a number of other classic genre TV credits under her belt — including roles in Callan, Public Eye, Within These Walls and New Scotland Yard — in addition to a number of film appearances.
After Survivors, Heather Canning went on to appear in such TV favourites as Bergerac, Boon, Casualty and A Touch of Frost, but was seen less frequently on the big screen.
Her last cinematic performance was in A Village Affair, adapted from the Joanna Trollope novel, released in 1994.
