Survivors fans visiting the area, have the opportunity to stay in three different residences used as Mad Dog locations — one at Ilam and two in Monsal Dale.
Ilam

Located just outside the village of Ilam, Air Cottage offers three bed-and-breakfast rooms (a single, a twin and a double) for overnight or longer stay guests. Bookings are taken for all dates between March and November. There are stunning views across Dovedale, excellent hill and dale walking — and Air Cottage is just a few hundred yards from Ilam Tops Farm (Ellen and Ron's farm in the episode). For travel directions to the Derbyshire village of Ilam, see here. Local directions:: Arriving in the centre of Ilam, locate the Memorial Stone and take the uphill fork for Alstonfield. At the sign for 'Air Cottage Bed & Breakfast', take a right turn, over the cattlegrid and follow the pathway past Ilam Tops Farm and straight on. The pathway ends in front of Air Cottage, where a small amount of resident parking is available.

Derbyshire SK17 8SZ Located in the heart of Monsal Dale, Upperdale House offers a bed-and-breakfast service. For travel directions to Monsal Dale, see here. Local directions: Upperdale House is situated right by the river Wye, at the crossroads in the heart of the valley. All other Monsal filming locations for Mad Dog are within stone's throw (or a few minutes walk) of its front doors. The barn roof on which Sanders and Jim are filmed is at the rear of the property.

Available 52-weeks a year, the two self-catering holiday cottages at Riversdale Farm each sleep between 4-6 guests. Upstairs in each cottage is a double room and a twin. A double futon in the downstairs lounge provides two additional sleeeping spaces. The cottages may be booked individually, or jointly. Riversdale Farm offers a tranquil and picturesque riverside garden (for the use of guests) — from which Charles emerges in the episode. The cottages are on the far side of the stairwell from which the character of Phil emerges (see the photo on the Riversdale Farm website) adjacent to the main farmhouse in front of which the Mad Dog sequences were filmed. All other Monsal filming locations are within a few minutes walk.
